Sixth Grade Academics:
Our regular, weekly quizzes and tests will begin on Friday, August 28. All students have a printout of the Bible memory verse, the spelling words, and the reading vocabulary words. I told them to keep it in the front pocket of their binders.
For the spelling test, I will say the words, and they will write them on loose leaf paper. Some of them have definitions that they need to know and also write down, but the spelling of the definition will not be graded. Also, a reasonable definition in their own words is accepted.
The reading vocabulary is a little different. These words come from their readers, and they are on the white board. For the quiz, I will put letters next to the words, so all they need to do is write the letter of the word that goes with the definition I say.
