School Announcements and Reminders

- Thur., 9/24: Parent/Teacher Conferences. Schedule through the office.

- Tue., 10/6: NLCA Literature fair: Please see separate blog for information.
- Fri., 10/9: Grandparents' Day! Dismissal after the program, around lunchtime.
Sixth Grade Academics
Important: Please try to hold on to the study guides for both history and science in the student folders of the binder. You may also wish to keep tests there, too. As important topics are taught, the students will hold onto pages with grammar and math rules, etc., in the binder.
-No spelling homework this week.-
Tuesday, September 22: Science test.
Wednesday, September 23: Math test.
Thursday. September 24: spelling trial test
Friday, September 25: spelling second-chance test, reading vocabulary quiz, Bible memory quiz.
Due Monday, October 19: Tree mini-project: Students will choose one tree and collect a leaf or two, maybe a seed, do a bark rubbing, and write a paragraph about it. They'll mount everything on a small poster board. They can be gathering items now., and they'll have two weekends after the literature fair project to do it. This will count for both a science grade and a language grade (for the paragraph).
