Week of March 25

 Announcements and  Reminders : 

• Food drive ends Tuesday, March 26. Students may donate $.50 and one non-perishable food item.
• Please send in one dozen filled plastic eggs by Thursday so that teachers can count them ahead of time. 
• March 28 - Easter egg hunt at Brown House. Parents are welcome to watch! We will probably use the gym if the weather is bad. Pizza will be provided at lunchtime, then early out at noon.
• March 29 - April 5 - No school (Spring Break) 
• April 8: Students return
• April 19 - Early out 

Academics this week, subject to change as needed:

• Reading homework this week: Secret in the Maple Tree, chapter 8.  Remember, this book is exclusively for homework and class discussion.  They have all week to read it aloud to an adult, and the book may stay in their backpacks.  I still need a parent to initial the homework assignment in the take-home folder, please.
• Students need to learn multiplication facts up to 9 x 12. 
• Language test on Monday.  A workbook page came home Friday that said "Test Mon."  It's over pronouns and identifying subjects & predicates.
• History test Monday.  The study guide came home last Wednesday. It's over Theodore Roosevelt, Billy Sunday, and Laura Ingalls Wilder.
• Spelling:  homework Tuesday, but since it's a short week, they will write sentences on Thursday instead of a test.
• No Bible memory until after break.

Week of March 18

• March 22 - Deadline for ordering yearbooks
• March 28 - Easter Egg Hunt, 9:00 at Brown House (We'll walk over),  then pizza at lunchtime, then early out 
• March 29 - April 5 - No school (Spring Break) 
• April 8: Students return
• April 19 - Early out

• Health quiz Thursday.  Study guide will come home on Tuesday.

• History test has been moved to next Monday. Study guide went home Wednesday.
