Announcements/Reminders:
- September 16: Picture day.
- September 21: Farm Safety Day. Permission slip coming soon. (I've been waiting on an email from them about our time slot.)
- October 7: Grandparents' Day! Dismissal at 12:15.
- October 12: NLCA literature fair.
Academics:
- Monday's reading homework will be to read at least 15 minutes of their books for the literature fair. They don't have to read the whole book aloud, of course, but for reading homework, they do.
- Tuesday: Math test. Workbook pages 35 and 36 may be done for bonus if handed in within a week of the test.
- Wednesday: Language quiz over types of sentences again, as well as separating subjects from predicates.
- Please purchase a set of multiplication flash cards. We have covered 0,1,2,3, and we'll move into the 4's this week. We drill a lot in class, but it's very important that the students commit them to memory, and sometimes that requires extra practice at home.
- Spelling is list 4. Homework on Tuesday, trial test Thursday, final test Friday.
- Bible memory: Proverbs 3:3
