Academics this week, subject to change, as needed:
- Reading homework Monday: read pages 40-43 out loud to an adult
- Spelling: list 19. We will spread this list over the two short weeks. Homework on Tuesday, but the tests will be the following week.
- History quiz Monday. Study guide went home Friday.

Message from Mrs. Brammer: I talked to the students about the Young Writers contest. They may choose to write a personal narrative, a fictional story, or nonfiction. No illustrations are allowed. They may print on loose leaf paper or type it, and it cannot be longer than 500 words. They have until the beginning of February, and it is mandatory. I will try to provide class time for them to write, but they will probably be doing most of it at home. It's supposed to be fun, independent work, but they should try to do a little at a time instead of waiting until the end of the month. Let me know via Class DoJo messages if you have any questions.
